Heritage and Reliability

Built in 1905 at the Wichhorst shipyard in Hamburg, Atlantis is a well-regarded and versatile tall ship with a proven record at sea. Her three-masted barquentine rig combines functionality with classic design.

Rebuilt in 1984 under Captain H. Paschburg, Atlantis features square sails on the foremast and gaff rigging on the main and mizzen masts. Since 2005, under the ownership of Jan Bruinsma and the Tallship Company (The Netherlands), she has been carefully maintained and upgraded to preserve her heritage while improving comfort, safety, and reliability.

Maintenance and Technical Excellence
Atlantis has been meticulously maintained and regularly modernized beyond standard classification requirements.
Recent key works include:

• 2017 - Complete renewal of the rigging
• 2018 - Installation of portholes in all guest cabins, allowing natural daylight
• 2018 - Renewal of all diesel tanks
• 2022 - Installation of a new Idromar watermaker
• 2024 - Major renewal of onboard piping systems
• 2025 - Renewal of four watertight doors

This continuous investment ensures Atlantis remains in excellent technical and aesthetic condition, ready for global voyages and commercial operations. The vessel currently sails under NSI class, but can also be transferred to RINA classification if desired.

Modern Comfort, Traditional Atmosphere
Atlantis offers eighteen comfortable guest cabins, each with private facilities, combining modern comfort with classic maritime charm. The richly wood-paneled salon, featuring an elegant bar, dining area, and library, provides a welcoming space for guests. On deck, a large open-air area with a bar offers an ideal setting for outdoor relaxation, dining, and events.

Designed for professional hospitality, Atlantis also features a fully equipped galley with a complete dishwashing line, dedicated cooling and freezing rooms, and separate crew quarters. The vessel operates efficiently with a crew of 9–10, ensuring smooth service and seamless guest experiences.
